Take a trip into the past with a visit to the Vernon Historical Museum.

The Vernon historical effort began in September 1998 with the purpose of collecting, preserving, and displaying the artifacts, photographs and documents unique to Vernon.  These items are representative of the people, places, events and lifestyle of Vernon and surrounding community. The group started with eighteen like-minded citizens in an effort to preserve artifacts unique to the area and to educate the public about the legacy and history of their community.  The best way to check out the Vernon Historical Museum (VHMS) is with a visit to the facility located within Vernon City Hall located at Yellow Jacket Drive (formerly Vernon High School).
